Default Quick question - newest CFW = best?

Hi al - I'm in the middle of reading up on all the newbie guides I can find, in order to mod my 3.95 OFW phat, and starting to understand what I'm doing now.

The only thing I don't understand is, how do you decide which CFW to install when modding your PSP? Is it based on the games/apps you're going to be installing, or is it just newest = best? I'm confused by all the M33 type stuff and don't quite understand what I'm looking for!

Cheers
/J

it doesnt really matter what cfw you have as long as it suits you, but since you never had cfw yet, you might as well start out with the newest 4.01m33

I agree, newest is usually best, unless you have a reason to be running an older version.
