It's been awhile... need some help
I bought my PSP around 4 years ago, In March 2007 I modded it with I believe the 3.10 oe-a (I'm not at home atm so I don't have specific details)... Anyhow, I was able to put .iso's and .cso's on my memory stick and play them fine as well as UMD's.
Well, it's been over a year without me touching my PSP and tried playing Lego Indiana Jones .cso and the Lego Indiana Jones UMD and neither work, I get a 80042### message or something like that. I figure I need to update the firmware...
I've read about modding the battery, magic memory stick, the 3.52m33 update, etc. Just curious what my correct path would be?
Sorry if this is a noob question and thanks for your replies. |

he doesnt need a pandora battery and a mms if he already has 3.10 oe-a(which is a custom firmware)....making them would be a waste....

EDIT: here ya go, this should work Stylemo » Blog Archive » How to Install 3.52 M33-4 on Your PSP

Thank you Tom... worked like a charm. Very easy and both the UMD and .cso file run fine now along with everything else!
Appreciate the help and will try to keep up-to-date for now on and be an active member here
Thanks. |

I guess that was pre-mature... after taking out the Lego UMD I can't play that game off the memory stick or play Star Wars Unleashed off the memory stick, both give an error: The game could not be started. (80020321). |

hit the select button when in the xmb, and change the umd iso mode to m33 driver.....
then your iso's and cso's should work.... |

okay, I went in and held R while I booted, went to donfirguration, and enabled "Use No-UMD" and Lego Indiana works, but Star Wars force unleashed doesn't still... So I'll test some more and update this. Trial and error |

well the reason star wars most likely isnt working is because your at 3.52m33(or at least i think u are)...
if thats the case, your most likely going to need to upgrade to play the iso.... |

/Agreed with tomaversa. You should be able to do it with the Update tool in the XMB though i'm not sure. I would assume that particular function is in already buy 3.52 M33. |

no, unfortunatley it isnt.....the m33 updater function wasnt added until 3.80m33....
he'll need to manually upgrade to 3.80m33 before he can go to 4.01m33.... |

Ah, my bad then. Still after that though, it should be relatively simple. Outta interest, how does DAX have it set up to do that? Is it pointed to a download link which downloads the update and then automatically runs it? That sounds like the most logical option. |

Thanks for the info, I'm assuming it will be pretty straight forward updating to 3.80m33 and then to 4.01m33? |

Should be, though take a look at the Firmware Guides. I'm pretty sure there is one in there. =) |
