PSP Slim M33 5 install question

I've never put a CFW on my Psp before so I just have some confusion and some of the guides I have read differ or are old. Can I just install 5.0 and the 5 ver 4 update on my slim without having to have an older CFW installed first? I have the TotalNewbieEasyInstaller program which I am assuming I use to install this firmware, the original 5.0 software, the M33 5 and the 5 ver 4 update for later. Is this all I need? Thanks a lot!
