problems installing chickhen r2

well...i was trying to install chickhen r2 and i followed the guide on the site...i did the 4th step like 15 times....nothing happened...i think i didnt place the h.bin file correctly....can u tell me where to place it ty

in the root of your memory stick... make sure you have OFW 5.03 and chickHen folder is in your PICTURE/PHOTO folder -_- you need to try it more times

It could take quite a few tries to get it to load correctly. My first 25 tries crashed and shut down. Turning the psp on every time gets annoying. have patience grasshopper.

Requirements
--------

Memory Stick PRO Duo (worked on my fakes and original Memory stick)

ChickHEN R2 Pre-Installation
--------
1. Format Memory Stick using PSP's built in 'Format Memory Stick' tool.
2. Connect USB cable from PC to PSP - Ensure PSP is now in USB mode
3. Rename Folder 'ms0:\MP_ROOT' to 'ms0:\MS_ROOT'
4. Exit USB mode (x or o back)
5. Use 'Restore Default Settings' in PSP 'System Settings' menu.
6. Set WLAN On/Off - HEN can load with it either way. Yours may not.
Experiment.

All instructions imply that you copy from the ChickHENR2.rar to your
PSP Memorystick. Use the 'PHOTO' folder, including all it's contents,
from either the PHAT or SLIM directory depending on your PSP type.

ChickHEN R2 Installation
--------
1. Copy 'h.bin' to 'Memory Stick root' and 'MS_ROOT':
-ms0:\h.bin
-ms0:\MS_ROOT\h.bin
2. Copy 'ChickHEN' folder to 'PHOTO' folder:
-ms0:\PHOTO\ChicHEN
3. Power off then turn on PSP (Hard reset)
4. Navigate to 'Photo' then down to 'Memory Stick' and open (x or o)
5. Wait for preview to load picture. Then triangle will appear. Open.
6. Hold the directional pad down till you reach the bottom and wait.

Your system will freeze momentarily, then graphics will glitch (sometimes
brown and black, sometimes green). At this point wait untill the system makes
a clean reset. You will not need to touch any buttons during this reset
process. The reset is fairly quick. Next:

7. Navigate the PSP menu to 'System settings>System Information'.
8. Successfull install reads '5.03 ChickHEN R2'.

If not, repeat steps 3-6. You may skip step 3 if you like. I have noticed
that sometimes resetting is not always necessary. Usually the case is reset.

Once all is down. Follow the steps below:-

1. Go to Game>Memory>Run CWF Loader for ChickHEN
2. Press O to flash M33 custom firmware files into the flash
3. PSP will restart
4. Repeat step 1
5. Press X to run the custom firmware
6. PSP will restart
7. Check your System Information and it should show "5.00 M33"

Now you can run ISO/CSO games. Just download games via torrent. And place it into ISO folder.

size of the card doesnt mather you need to do it again and after that i sugest you run CFWEnabler to run iso/cso

buddy, i have some experience to load ChickHEN: trying using the exploit with 16GB mem stick and it dosen't work, i try 4gb and it worked!

me too (hacked like 20 psp`s whit chickHEN) and i run it on a 256 MB up to 8GB and they all work.if the card is fake it can give you problems

just continue to try and it will work eventually, try restoring default settings and then turn off umd cache and then head for the photo folder
