Roam around the site and take a look at what's posted by other users.

Forum is meant to help people with modifying their psps, either through hardmods or softmods such as cfw.

Just because you have cfw on your psp does not mean that you have to pirate games. there are other things you can do such as using homebrews that people not affiliated with sony make.

(Piracy is not allowed here because this site is bound by US law (Can be shut down if piracy is openly talked about, ect))

If you have a 3k (Safe to assume that you do, considering you're in this thread), then you currently cannot downgrade or modify your psp if you're above Firmware 5.03.

You'll just have to wait for a possible future exploit and not use the network update anymore.

Sorry if this is a repeated question, but i've been reading dozens of post and now my mind is all over the place.

But with this method (have to be below v5.03), does it allow for ANY 3k (regardless of mobo version) to have a cfw installed? If so, does it have to be GEN-A or can you load m33-6?

How can I access Recovery Menu?

EDIT: Is there any possibility it will have a permanent CFW? Just asking on a possibility not really a tutorial.

Weird. All the files end up on my computer (flasher prx, all the stuff that should have gone on my PSP) I updated to 5.03 followed the steps (have the files placed on Psp) but it still just downloads to my computer. O_o

Oh whatever at least I have the files. Can anyone tell me which folders to put them in so I don't drive myself insane?

Well, as for the mobo, its not a problem, anything goes as long as u r on firmware 5.03, and the only CFW available that can be loaded on ChickHEN mode are CFWEnabler and GEN-A (since chickHEN is the only way to mod ur psp 3000, u r stuck with these two..)

Yes, any 3k with 5.03 fw or lower can install cfw (Installed to ram) You can use Gen-a, or Cfw enabler which gives 5.03m33 if i recall.

Well Mr. 185 posts,

I don't not think that you can get to the recovery menu, you'd have to turn the psp off then back on to get to it, which you cannot do with the 3k (Being loaded on Ram)

No perm cfw for 3k yet.

Well, not exactly. ChickHEN is installed into the RAM of the PSP and a reset will wipe it off.. any permanent mod will brick it..

I seriously wish there was one permanent mod... coz this redoing-evrything-once-every-restart is kinda not that easy.. See my sig... lolz..

Hi. I bought PSP slim 3004 BP about week ago and upgrade it at v5.03 GEN(Full). That means that I can play iso games but it says 'data corrupted'. Can someone pls help me with these problem? Also tried with ISO file at root of memory stick.
