5.50 gen-b help please!!!

hi all ive just upgraded from 5.00 m33-6 to 5.50 gen-b but cannot play any of my new backup games on my card some will show its on the card but others dont?? ive clicked on the game that shows up but it just comes up with a code and says it wont work?? any ideas please wont be appriciated??

did you put the umd driver mode to m33 or sony? did you install 5.50genA 1st and then update to genB?

it was on m33 i installed gen a then gen b and the b2.. just got one to work but others still wont???? also when i press select now the menu i used to get doesnt come on now ie to change from sony to m33 etc???

yeah, you have to enable that in the recovery menu...not sure why your games wouldn't work, mine plays them all...if anything else, you can always reinstall the firmware, either with a pandora or hellcats flasher...could be possible that it just didn't take it well, it happens sometimes

go into your recovery and check in configurations...i'm pretty sure you have to reset the umd driver mode when you update to gen

power down the psp holding the power switch up till it shuts off

hold the R button and power on, then you'll be in recovery...go to configurations and check the settings...

to get your vsh menu up when pressing select, just click X to enable that, you'll see it in the config menu in recovery...let me know what happens after

the umd mode is m33 driver -no-umd- so that should work shouldnt it?

yeah it should...i keep mine on the sony one, try that too and see what happens...if it still messes with you, reinstall the firmware

thanks for that!!! will try sony aswell just put another game on card and it doesnt show up but the other one that worked before did??? could it just be a dodgy iso maybe???

yeah, that's possible too...could be a fake memory card too...did all these games show as well on 5.00m33??

ive sti9ll got old games on another card and they work fine on every firmware ive had its just the new ones that have just come out

firmware? the last one the other games were on was 5.00 m33-3 and ive just tried them on this new one and they are fine!! the games were nfs undercover and the new ones im trying is dirt 2, nfs shift, harry potter hbp and motorstorm and none of them even show up on the card???

on dirt 2 it comes up with a code and it means the prx type is unsupported??? any idea what that means?

yeah, those all don't work, you need to be on official firmware 5.55 or higher...that's why you won't see them

but just try to be patient, we all are...hoping for a new cfw update, if you're able to reinstall cfw with a pandora and mms (magic stick), then i say update it with the game's update on the umd and go back to cfw when it comes out

edit...what psp version do you have anyway? mine's a 1000 (phat original)
