Default Problems with DEMOS and Newer Games...

PSP Slim 2001, 5.00 M33-6...

I swear I had read somewhere on here a way around having to update yoru FW to play newer games and demos, but my Forum/Google search skills are failing me.

I downloaded the Battlefront Demo and it says I need 5.51 to play.

I think demos can be spoofed with the version.txt

I don't think I've ever been excited enough about a handheld game to try a demo Anyway just search for Yoshihiro and UMDGen

Some older Demo's DID indeed work but when I tried it with the MGS:PW demo it failed.

Ok, well, next question... If I go out and buy this game, will I be able to play it as is? Or will I have to use Game Decrypter v4 method or the Yoshihiro method?

depends not all games need to be decrypted, but GEN D(2) have the decrypter built in so you don't need to (but I personally dislike GEN, sooo I stuck with m33)

Most new games at least require 5.51+.So you will have to make a Backup ISO and use Game Decryptor...it's Sony's way of kicking the people who use CFW and actually buy games in the ass.
