I've looked through a dozen sites about hacking my new PSP. I'm a mac user. I don't want to risk bricking it until I talk with somebody one on one. PM me.

I've seen all kinds of custom firmwares and homebrew apps, but I'm only looking to play game files from pspiso (I'm low on $$$.) I'm a newb, but I'm not stupid.

I have a problem running the 3.90 m33 custom firmware by DarkAlex. After doing as the instructions said, putting the update folder into the /PSP/GAME, I attempted to run the updater on my psp but it displayed "The game could not be started. (80020148). Could someone please help me on this matter. Thanks

2. i don't know if bootcamp or vmware works to create a mms

what version are you? if your version is OFW then create a mms and pandora.

So i upgraded to 3.90 m33-3 from 3.71 m33-2 on a slim. I dont have Skype. I thought 3.90 came bundled with skype. What should i do to get skype?

thats weird did u try to insert your headset? i guess the icon will appear when you insert the headset.

Oh so that's why there is no Skype icon. Well I guess i will have to wait until i buy a headset then, because I dont own one yet.

Did you scroll over to network? That's where the Skype icon is. It's not a new tab on the XMB.

The problem with the firmware is resolved. Unfortunately after i copy a .cso game into the /PSP/GAME folder the game does not appear. Plz help my current version is 3.71 M33-2

copy it to /ISO/ not PSP/GAME/

i'm new to psp modding, the main thing i want to do is get daedalus running so i can use my, uh, backed up n64 games on my psp. i followed a simple step by step tutorial (something off youtube involving a rar named TOTALNewbieasyInstaller Pandorasmenu[.rar]) for creating a pandora's battery and magic memory stick, i ended up with custom firmware 3.71 M33 on my psp. when i go to my memory stick on my psp it shows 3 files, Pandora's Battery Creator, Despertar del Cementerio, and a corrupted file. i tried installing Daedalus by dragging it into the folder and now when i go to memory stick on my psp i see the 3 original files and Daedalus as well as another corrupted file (%daedalus?). i think somethings wrong with the magic memory stick or firmware, but really i have no clue. can anyone help me? (sorry if i posted in the wrong thread, i dunno if it's the firmware or something else)

I have firmware 3.03 OE-C on my psp and I want to put on 3.90m33 firmware what should I do to get there. I already created a pandora's battery. Need assistance.

If you have a Pandora battery and MMS already, you can use Dark_Alex's Despertar Cementerio v5 to go straight to 3.90 M33-3:

Hey guys, i have a PSP 3.90 m33-3 fat, and it plays my FF Crisis Core fine ( game on memory card ) and then my hotshots golf game fine (UMD game) but it doesn't play some of my other UMD games...any reason why?
