You need cfw to play .iso's and you need a pandora/TOOL to get cfw...

I bought a used psp slim 2000 and it has 4.00 original firmware on it.
In order to upgrade it to 4.01 m33 or 5.00 m33, do I have to down grade it to 3.71, 3.8,3.9m33 series first and then install 4.01m33 or 5.00m33 CFW?
Anyone help me for the memory stick? to upgrade 4.00 to 4.01 m33?

Ubernoob here, just got the PSP-3000 with fw 5.01 as well and from what I've gathered it is unhackable yet, but once it is hackable, where should I start? or where should I start reading and getting info? I tried reading and searching in this forum but there are so much info and it seems that there are plenty of ways of doing this, not really sure where to start. TIA | |

We can't help you there. Pandora is the only way to go now-a-days. But seeing as Pandora can't hack a 3000, then a new method will have to be found. So we really can't tell you to study up on something that doesn't exist. | |
