idakz - Sorry, I can't help you there. I know nothing about the 3K's or ChickHEN. I just don't mess around with 3K's.

Kefin - You will need to find 401.pbp. The official firmware eboots can be found quite easily by using Google. Just search for "401.pbp" and look for a rapidshare link. I'm sure there will be about 10 of them.

Mr. Sprinkles - It's all good, don't worry about it. But yes, if you have a Slim that came with 4.01 or higher out of the box then there is a very high likelihood that it is unhackable. Like 98% chance that it is unhackable.

Did your PSP come with 4.01 new out of the box? If so, then there isn't anything you can do to downgrade. You shouldn't have gone higher than 5.03.

Did your PSP come with 3.95 or lower out of the box? If so then you can just pick up a Pandora Battery and make a Magic Memory Stick to get to CFW.

first of all genious you have to get an anti-bricker(model no.99999989p9)
after you get the un bricker .unfortunetly if you wanna do it right you have to go on 1 update at a time.this helps the fact that if your psp freezes up because of random although high updates from 4.3 to something like m33-5 or 6 your psp with freeze and it will have to be restarted out through a computer or even worse send it in to an over priced sony repairs i dought you want that.

do it the right way dont be stupid and ruin something you got.

Im on 5.00 m-33-6 on a slim. I want greater compatibility with psx games, in particular worms (1st one) and jackie chan. Is thier a newer firmware that may play these? does gen-A thingy improve things and is thier a new m33 on the horizon?

thanks

Firmware Installed: 5.03

Default The Dark_Alex Custom Firmware Q&A Thread

Hello everyone! I hope someone can help me with my problem. A friend of mine installed cfw 5.03 m33-6 on my psp slim. It was working great untill i ran out of battery. Its now on 5.03 again. I cant play any games on it. Can someone teach me how to install it again? My psp originally came with cfw 4.01 from the box.

What exactly has happend? if your psp had 5.03 m33-6 on it, then that would be permanent. Turning it off wont remove it. You say your still on 5.03? if you had "lost" your upgrade, it would have gone back down to 4.01.

Are you sure he didnt install chickHEN as that is lost when the psp is turned off?

or go to your popsloader and go to the text file and type popsloader.prx 1
