The Dark_Alex Custom Firmware Q&A Thread
As I posted before:
I already have a Folder named ISO in my memory stick and yes I do have a UMD as well.
However, I still have a dilemma. Whenever I try to go into my ISO on the memory stick I get an error back saying "the game cannot be started (80020148) I've checked the folder named "ISO" to see if there were any unwanted files inside but there were none. My UMD game (Monster Hunter) still works along with my homebrew. Is there a way I can use DEVHOOK0.4X launcher too make the iso work? Or maybe I could use fastloader7(though I doubt it works on 2.71 SE-B) |

that always works for me,
are you saying your homebrew dont work neither
for homebrew you need to make a GAME150 folder in the PSP folder, and place all your homebrew there,
and yes if you place devhook into the GAME150 folder then it should work EASY TA-82 2.71 DOWNGRADER EASY 3.02 OE-B CUSTOM FIRMWARE INSTALLER DEVHOOK v0.52 with 3.03 EMULATION TUTORIAL

I installed the custom firmware, and wasn't happy with it, so I went back to 1.5.
It's not that hard to do.

I'm not sure if irShell works in 2.71 though... |

The Dark_Alex Custom Firmware Q&A Thread
someone told me i cant install the custom SE on a ta-82....is this true?...and if it's not, then: i have a 2.71FW ta-082 1001 PSP (USA), if i install the custom FW, can i go back to the normal 2.71 from sony, just like if nothing happened? The thing is i do really like my psp's Wi-fi, so if i install the custom FW to try it, i'd like to take it away whenever i want, with no problems involved.
Another question: inside the custom firmware compressed file, there is one dh/kd/systemctrl_dh4se.prx file and the PSP/GAME150/seb3update/eboot.pbp
if im running the normal 2.71 FW i have to put just the eboot on the PSP/GAME/UPDATE folder just like a normal update right?...and then to go back...i have to put the normal 2.71eboot.pbp on the GAME150/UPDATE folder right? |
