Default iphone vs nokia n95-4

I cant believe how many people here are talking about getting an iphone, so heres a comparison for you:
Iphone (3g)..............Nokia N95-4 (8gb)
Price (we will base the price off of the original price dropped iphone)
$523......................$529
Screen: 3.5"...............2.8"
Colors: 16m...............16m
Both have auto rotation (n95 also includes accelerometer for tilt gaming)
Voice dial: No..............Yes
Bluetooth: Mono headset only...............Stereo headset, dongle, keyboard
TV out: yes..............yes
GPS: No (agps).................yes (true gps)
maps: No..............yes covering 100 countries
wifi 802.11b/g: yes..................yes
browser with flash: no.................yes
camera: 2mp...............5mp with flash, auto focus, 30fps video recording (secondary video call camera)
3rd party software support: limited drm protected................yes
video playback: yes ............yes
fm radio: no.............yes
messaging: sms email (pop3 only).....email (push button ie yahoo) pop3, mms, sms, instant messaging
Screen adjustments: contrast/light sensor..............light sensor
Screen: backlit lcd..............monochromatic lcd (uses sun to increase brightness)
IR port: no.............yes
java: no.............yes
touchscreen: yes.........no
extended batteries available: no...........yes
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900.........GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100: HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100

Nokia N95 8GB - Full phone specifications
Apple - iPhone - Features

so for $6 more (£3) you get a phone that has 4 times as many features but lacks a 3.5" touchscreen.
seriously... why consider an iphone when youll get a bigger wow out of the n95-4?

iPhone has an accelerometer also for tilt gaming (games like iphysics use it)

iPhone firmware 2.0 has Gps using the Maps.app.

{QUOTE] maps: No..............yes covering 100 countries[/quote]

How has the iPhone not got any maps when it has an application called Maps.app from Google Maps?

And once you jailbreak an iphone (I admit not everyone will) a lot more features can be added, including MMS, Video Recording, Radio, Lots of Games, and customizable themes.

iPhone is a winner, and always will be...

When they say iPhone (3G) doesn't mean 3GiGabytes, it's Third-Generation Internet. The fastest the Nokia could be is 3.5Generation.

Also, the iPhone comes in 8GB and 16GB

No, iPhone is just eye candy to all the iSheep.

Many phones have done what this "revolutionary" device have done for years, just not all have been pure touch screen.

I admit I was thinking about buying one, but I'd rather pay more then $200 for a phone, then pay a minimum of $70 per month for a single plan for this
"revolutionary" phone, because A&TT is gready.

Sure $200 is better then $500, but if you think about it, the increased money of the plans you'll be paying more within 2 years then if you bought it for $500.

still no MMS?

still no copy / paste?

still no video recording?

still no A2DP?

Android, FTW.

Yes, but it's not TRUE gps, as in a tom tom, you cannot use it as a real-time gps, even apple said it in their SDK contract, I don't have the link, but I read it on engadget it. Find it, you'll see.

When drew said iphone (3g) he wasnt referring to 3Gb anyway. Its what retailers put on their advertisements, as with "Nokia N-95-4 (8Gb)."
He wasnt referring to the contents in the backets (in the iphone) as storage capacity.

Ill admit it. I am an iSheep....I buy products that others have....

But i dont care. I really like apple products, but others really like microsoft, nokia, motorola etc...

I know the Gps in iphone firmware 2.0 requires Wi-fi hot spots, and a lot of people wouldnt want to use Edge for gps.

And i do admit, the Nokia N95 has some better features than the iphone, but different people have different needs and tastes.

I dont need GPS because im not legal to drive (yet)

One thing i do want is flash support on the iphone.
Hopefully firefox (Fennec) to be released for the iphone will have this, which will make me upgrade to 2.0

If i wanted an iPhone i would definitely be buying the new one, but they lack so many simple features that it would be incredibly frustrating to use. No Copy and PaSte? Seriously? With how shitty the touch-screen keyboard is it would make life much easier to copy/paste stuff.
The only thing the Nokia phone doesnt have is a full keyboard which i would want if i were paying more than $200 for a phone.
I have no need for any smart phone though. My Razr V3 works fine.

in my experience, nokia has always been a great product. and you can buy them unlocked, which is the best part.
