its flipping horrible.
#1. programs such as mssync.exe automatically start for no reason and eat resources
#2. dozens upon dozens of programs are loaded into the memory doing absolutely nothing but hogging resources
#3. you cannot change how the search works. you must first search, then wait until its finished searching the indexed files, then change it to search everywhere, and wait until it finds it
#4. so sloowww.
#5. automatic 'fix everything that has a mass storage driver whether you want to or not' pop ups.. does nothing but eat resources
#6. try changing the time.. takes 3 clicks
#7. must run disc defrag EVERYDAY to clean up files that ms thinks we still want after we uninstalled them
#8. pop ups that have no explaination http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z...tureWiz008.jpg
#9. the true admin account on vista can only be accessed through a hack. So even though you are the admin, you arent the admin.
seriously, i could go on for days.
i do like the look of vista compared to xp.
i also find the aerobar (which thankfully can be disabled) a nice feature. when youre multitasking, its nice to be able to simply run the mouse over the tab and see if something has finished loading. |

Every single operating system sucks imo. It all works good for the first year but after that they just go bad whether you're using vista, xp, or a mac. |

Is Vista really THAT bad?
For me, Vista keeps crashing.
It has lost most if not all of my data multiple times.
It will crash on start-up.
It will move files upon installs, so that you have to reinstall.
It randomly changes my saved BIOS.
It corrupts its own data.
But, I do like some things about it...I'm not exactly sure why its going so bad with it now.
I think the biggest thing with Vista, well at least for my standpoint, is to get another hard drive to save all the files that you want onto it just in case Vista farts out.
(It deleted my separate Partition, so that's why I'm saying get another Hard Drive.)
Other than all that, its cosmetically pleasing (Which is kind of useless).
I haven't had any gaming issues on it...other than messing up the files at times.
The games run smoothly and it doesn't seem to eat all that many resources as long as you know what's going on with your computer and how to stop Vista from auto-'killing' itself.

YO! Switchblades is here too!
Vista isn't too bad if you can limit the amount of security active by using something like FS autostart. If you have enough RAM to run Vista, good for you. Use it, the interface is neat. Vista on a basis of gaming isn't completely supported. I've played some lesser known MMOs like DNL and it did not recognize it as a active program.
Vista in the long run is probably your bes tchoice. Microsoft officially stopped selling XPs about 2 days ago. Vista's upgrades will only continue to climb until it's finally at the pinacle.
Shows how much of a man you are. Putting our names on the list. I'm not going to comment on it in detail but that was pretty weak.

| Sure you arent. Cant you do me and everyone else a favor by not insulting me every minute to not start a fight? Just go away is all I ask.
It seems that everyone here has somethign aganist vista, but I think its not that bad. Sure, it might be slow and not run all these programs, but its not that bad for hacking PSPs |

I haven't had problems between you cheema and ed before. Actually as I remember the situation, I didn't do anything but stand in the background eating pizza and making sarcastic comments.
I'm not going to fight with you. I have no intention to fight with you. I left that scene long ago. To be completely frank with you, I don't think I was even in that scene.

You realize you can stop, start, or reset any service in Vista, correct? Also you can change the services that start, as well.
2. Dozen of programs? Vista uses services, not programs, and if you mean addons, you can disable, like I said, any service [beside core services].
3.You search via my computer? Even if, change the indexed searches so the start menu searches everywhere.. You can change the indexed searches.
4.Get a better pc or disable all the eyecandy.
5.Just start using "Safely remove device" and it stops doing that.
6.Damn, you got me stumped there. I don't know what to say. Oh I don't need to change my time, it updates automatically. I believe since 95 they started doing that -_-.
7.I never have defraged yet so I'm not sure what you're talking about; that and defraging your PC doesn't remove anything, read up on what a defrag does.
8.The digital certificate error - applies to IE 7
9.NO TRUE ADMIN account, aka root, has ever been applied in Windows, root is not an accessible account in any windows. It's always been like this.
I don't know, maybe I'm just the only person who doesn't have a problem with vista? I bought my PC for $700 and I haven't been limited to any game [excluding crysis] or anything because of Vista.
