3.You search via my computer? Even if, change the indexed searches so the start menu searches everywhere.. You can change the indexed searches.
4.Get a better pc or disable all the eyecandy.
5.Just start using "Safely remove device" and it stops doing that.
6.Damn, you got me stumped there. I don't know what to say. Oh I don't need to change my time, it updates automatically. I believe since 95 they started doing that -_-.
7.I never have defraged yet so I'm not sure what you're talking about; that and defraging your PC doesn't remove anything, read up on what a defrag does.
8.The digital certificate error - applies to IE 7
9.NO TRUE ADMIN account, aka root, has ever been applied in Windows, root is not an accessible account in any windows. It's always been like this.
I don't know, maybe I'm just the only person who doesn't have a problem with vista? I bought my PC for $700 and I haven't been limited to any game [excluding crysis] or anything because of Vista. |
#1. correct, you can stop them, but you cannot remove them from the memory. this was my gripe. they are loaded, not running.
#2. programs=services whatever. the core services are exactly what im bitching about. there is no need whatsoever to have the notepad not running, but sitting idle in the services.
#3. yes, i search the entire computer. you cannot change how the index search works. you can get into the control panel and tweak it, but it will not search the entire computer.
#4. ive posted my specs. im sure my pc is among the best in these forums.
#5. you dont get it. Where is the option to completely disable scan disk? sure, i can click no everytime, but thats not my argument. sure, i can click on safely remove hardware, but thats not my argument.
#7. however it works, defrag has always removed files that have been uninstalled. ive proven my point in this thread that was started months ago:
http://www.pspmod.com/forums/tech-di...-pictures.html (Why I hate Microsoft-A story in pictures!)
those files were uninstalled yet they were still there.
#8. ok, so you admit its for ie7. Ive never used IE7. in fact, when i bought my computer, i used my external hdd to transfer mozilla onto it. so IE has never been opened. so the reason im getting this error, has to be vista related.. aka another problem.
vista is the 'dummy OS'.
"vista has simplified searching"
"vista has simplified scan disk"
"vista has simplified start up"
all this means is that options were removed that were vital to tweak your system.
The only way vista will ever be faster then xp is if vista releases a service pack that gives these options back to us.
you say you have no problem running crysis on your pc.
get a copy of xp pro and do a dual boot
tweak everything you can on vista
using your video card, do a frame rate check on both OS, then tell us why xp is so much faster.
