Is Vista really THAT bad?
I have a new Dell that came with 3Gig of RAM. I have had no slowdowns, crashes or problems running Vista on it. I Love the new features and cannot think off hand of anything wrong with it.
Vista rules....................if your rig is powerfull enough!!! |

Try tweaking your services...
Well I have Vista, and I think, like someone else said, its trendy to hate Vista. It really isn't all that bad, it does have quite a bit more flaws in it than XP does, and I do get more stupid small problems, e.g. Windows Explorer stops responding because I used the volume wheel on the outside of my lappy instead of clicking to change it. If you have the proper system specs, and tweak the services, you can get your Vista Computer to go from completely off to desktop in less than one minute. I've done it! Overall, I prefer Ubuntu over Vista though...

Vista is great in my opinion. I have two PCs one with vista, and one with XP.
I've never had any real compatibility issues to where my program wouldn't run. Most of the time I can just easily solve it by running it as an administrator, or in XP compatibility mode. I'd pick vista over XP any day.

Vista is garbage thats why a pathetic amount of businesses actually use it. My IT buddies all confirmed that no one even plans on using it, they are waiting for the OS after vista. SO no.. you dont have to like it because everyone will be using it, most chose not to, including myself and everyone I know. |

I cant help but laugh at what problems some people have. Im running Vista x64 (which generally has worse hardware support than x86 versions) that has had half of the stuff removed via vLite and all of my hardware works perfectly, every program installs perfectly, i can play games with no issues...
Some people must really suck at using a computer.

Is Vista really THAT bad?
i have had some bad times with my vista, probaly because it's a copy that i used ov my XP (i now wish i duel booted the thing), the worst experience is that when ever i open a folder there's a 50-50 chance it will just crash for no reason, then all my open applications have to close down fro me to have normal access again, try doing coursework 4 times if it keeps crashing on you, the worst thing that made me very angry is it wiped my driver on my graphics card and now i can't play any pc games except worms 2, this has made me so angry, grrrrrr, look at my angry face:
>:'(
That is my angry face, it also wont read my psp when i connect it so i can't mod my flash0 files, and it wont let me do that cool thing where if you push alt and tab it flips all your open windows in a 3d view for you, and that just made a bit upset, not angry, and if any one has any sugestions for my graphics card, please mention but dont say download the original driver because the graphics card is one thats intergrated on my motherboard and the current driver is "Standard VGA graphics adapter"
That type of driver is one microsoft use if you dont have an original installed or if it was lost. |

Dude, all you need to do is download the driver from the manufacturers website.

Vista was a rushed OS in my opinion. I know from experience that alot of the repair programs are only available once you log into Vista, so if your PSP wont boot, too bad. Im staying up now researching how to fix my aunts computer... Vista wasn't thought out.

I prefer XP but I also think Vista is just fine.
Some of the things about Vista bother me, but then some of the features on it astound me as to why XP didn't have them.
Currently running a dual boot- Hardy Heron and Windows Vista. |
