PSP vs DS

Ok, here is my final verdict: It's all about the games. Technologically, the PSP is the clear winner. By far. But things like Donkey Kong, Fire Emblem, Zelda (oh, wow, Zelda), Advance Wars, Super Smash Bros, and many others are just clearly better than Twisted Metal or, uh, what else is exlusivley Sony? Nintendo has a lot of exclusive series. Anyway, Sony's exclusive games just don't hold a candle to Nintendo's. I love the PSP. But which one should you buy? It depends on MANY things including: How many GBA games you own, How big your music library is, How much money you have, If you need an alarm clock , How big a memory stick you can afford, how much you will be communicating with other players, etc. The PSP and DS both have pros and cons.

I to own them both and personly I like the PSP more. Theres more to do with it and theres WiFi with the DS PictoChat and games the PSP has Movies Games Music and more

My point is that it's a very very suspect comparison between differing generations of hardware.... at least to me.

Exactly, it isn't worth talking about. They both have their pluses and minuses, but to compare them is unfair.

I had a DS and I loved it....for a month. It felt really cheap and is nowhere near as nice as a PSP. The PSP has the games ALL OVER a DS, it has the looks, the power, and the functionality.

Onto the aspect of games, the reason that I got the DS was because they were supposed to come out with MarioKart for it. They pushed it back....and back....and back...and now it's not going to be released until November. Come on, NOVEMBER! Mario64 might have been enough to give the system a jump start, but they were going to need another good game such as MarioKart to keep the system going until they could get some other developers to make some decent games. Now look, they have Star Wars III, which is REALLY utilizing the graphics that can be supported by the DS (/sarcasm), Pokemon Dash which is about as much fun as trying to staple a snake to your balls, and a slew of other kiddy, crappily developed games.

The PSP came out and that very day I sold my DS and started saving for a PSP and haven't looked back since. It's kind of fun looking at some of the crappy titles that the DS claims to have arriving, but they all suck.

Ok JediknightJAce i will take your side. all my life i have somewhat been a nintendo fan. I had a Gamecube N64 all gameboys etc.
So i mean i have been disapointed with nintendo not living up to their name with DS not having really many good games at the start and the gamecube not exactly being as good as the competitors. But i think like in the past Nintendo will redeem themselves with realeses of GREAT GAMES games that are incredible like this trial game coming out for the ds etc. So I think right now the psp is better with movies an such. But if you are looking for games the DS will eventually come close to the PSP if not surpass it with awesome games

Since pretty much everything has been said in this thread about the PSP vs DS......I'll just say that I like the PSP a hell of alot better than the DS. The games released for the DS so far have just been crap and compared technologically to the PSP, the ds IS crap.

Hey man i Like the DS. I plan on getting both systems, there are good aspects to both systems. DS has fun games, Nintendogs, Animal crossing, Mario Kart. And the PSP will have awesome games coming out, GTA:LCS, Monster Hunter:Mobile and GT4:Mobile. Why argue? Why not purchase both and enjoy both worlds?
