I'm going to Germany for two weeks, so what I've decided to do is let this run for two weeks again, the whole time I'm gone, and then when I get back, I'll make the vote thread.

So, submissions will be accepted from today until Friday, June 20th. (Maybe the 21st, if I get home too late or am too tired to do make the vote thread on that Friday.) Then I'll run the vote thread for two days, and the winner will be announced Monday, June 23rd (or possibly the 24th).

There's no special prize or anything though this week. It's just a straight up SOTW.

So good luck to all, and once again, we've got some major time on our hands, so lets see some really great submissions turned in.

Maybe I'm a lamer but I don't get it. I interpret "console wars" to be ps3 vs. Xbox360 vs. Wii. Am I correct in the assumption? I know there are more consoles out there (older ones) I'm just using the top 3 popular ones as an example. The reason I ask is because I am finding it very challenging to match up one of those stock pics with what I think "console wars" means.

one question, when you say console wars, does that mean we have to be showing at least 2 consoles in the sig?

That's exactly why I choose those stocks, because it'd make it challenging...
And, you don't need to have two or more consoles, just any console that is/was in a console war.

And, don't sit this out, come on. You've got two weeks to think and create here, and most of all, just make one to submit one, just participate people, this is supposed to be about fun...

There isn't much of the original stock image left, thought I'd share some of the stages I went through from stock to finish in my sotw 4. I could have done some refining and touch up I think, but it didn't hit me until *AFTER* I submitted so I decided not to cheat and left it. I'm tired and going to bed soon...hope you like.
