First of all, I didn't know where to put this so I put it here. If it needs to be moved, sorry about that.

Okay, I recently got a custom coldboot, but it's disabled my psx emulator. Is there a way to enable popstation (I'm pretty sure that's it, but if not, I mean the ps1 emulator that is included with OE firmware), while still getting to keep my awesome custom coldboot?
Or do I have to replace it with the original one? And then, will replacing it even get it working? Just because, I'd really like to play Crash Bandicoot and such...

    Thanks for the help.

I made an easy tutorial for that fix. The same one I sent to Justin

    Get the Tutorial here:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?bnnkk3ujtwt

That has all you need to do and you'll enjoy PSX and coldboots.

    Good luck ^^

or you could do it the easy way: (no hex editing required)

    download following zip.

    http://www.box.net/public/y94rksuspr

    install provided files.

    (from readme)

    ************Files for 3.03 OE************

    Flash 'game_plugin.prx' to:
flash0:/vsh/nodule/... (Either via USB 'Recovery > Advanced >Toggle USB Flash0' or with PSPFiler).

    Flash '0pening_plugin.rco' to:
flash0:/vsh/resource/... (Again, either via USB or with PSPFiler).

**Debranded Gameboot = No logo on Gameboots**
**Branded Gameboot = Logo on Gameboots**

Now go enjoy PSX Emu + Custom Coldboots!

Thank you mime and AndyCat. I was a little confused because I've never used a hex editor, so I went and downloaded Hex Workshop, and stuck on editing that. I am going to try what Andy gave me now, Hahah.

    Do what he said:

flash the file "manually" via "flash0" meaning get on recovery mode

Turn off your "PSP" and then turn it on "pressing and holding down" "R" trigger.

If you do that correctly, you'll get into recovery mode,

    Then go into:

    Advanced > Toggle flash0

The PSP has to be connected "via USB" to your computer, then just drag and copy the files ANDYCAT said on his post: So when you click on "toggle USB flash0" the pop up will show up and just "Browse it" like any other USB device"..

Then inside go into " VSH then go into "nodule " and drag and replace the following file:

    game_plugin.prx'

This is the path : flash0:/vsh/nodule/...

Do the same with this file: VSH > Resource and drag and overwrite the existing one.

    0pening_plugin.rco'

    Path: flash0:/vsh/resource/...

Good luck ^_^ tell me if you need more help. And by the way doing things manually its the best, dont TRUST softwares, they sometimes mess up and semi brick you or things like that, so its better if you flash your files yourself, you know? everything its under your control.

    Trust me.

Oh, I get it now; i really haven't ever used a card reader. So theres no way for you to flash things,

You really need to get a "USB" cord asap, Its very important everything you do or flash will be using the USB

But its all right man ^^ Get one and PM me or something and i'll help you again.

Ah, dude. I use a card reader too. I can occasionally use my USB cord, but most of the time, my computer says that the USB Device can't be recognized. If I can't manually flash, I use pspfiler. It's awesome, and a new version just came out.
But, its not hard to do with AndyCat's stuff man, drag and drop..drag and drop. The files come with a readme too...

    NEO,

If andycat's didnt work for you, do my guide ^^ mine is bulletproof, I myself made it and its working 100%. Its easy to follow if you read carefully and take your time. I wont take a long.

    Good luck.
