Is there any way to change the background of a coldboot? I was just seeing how far I could go with customizing one of these, and I've been playing around with the sound and text, but I was curious if the black background and that grey line (are they together or separate, even?) could be changed with something else.....

I found a tutorial to do this at one point, but it was for 2.71 customs (I think, once I saw that, I ignored it)

If anyone has seen a tutorial, or knows what the specs should be for an image like that (filesize, etc.) I would be grateful, thanks!

dude why do u gotta be a dick about his post and in all rights your first post doesnt even qualify as a response that post simples proves you still have yet to graduate high school and get a real sense of humor. there is no more room for bad kids in this world alright so why dont u just do the world a favor and keep your mouth shut as for Howlingblue i know you change the boot waves so they match your custom xmb wave better but as for the background your guess is as good as mine

Correct, and also, at the same time, not so.
You can't change the background, but you can however put an image the size of the background over top of the background.
So, in effect "changing the background."
