As I was learning to customize my PSP, I had a hard time figuring out the file names/types as well as the location of the files for the various possible customizations. So I decided to make a populated list of those customizations, location of the file and file type. This is helpful if you want to pick and chose what you want from different themes to create your own. I have only used custom FW 3.40 OE-A, so Im not sure if the others work the same way. Manual install is the easiest and safest way, I don't know why people use flashers. I guess on earlier custom FW's it was necessary to install custom flash components. MAKE SURE WHATEVER YOUR USING TO REPLACE THE DEFAULT FILES WITH, THAT THEY ARE COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR FW AND ARE THE SAME FILE TYPES THAT YOUR REPLACING! AND AS ALWAYS, MAKE A BACK-UP COPY OF YOUR DEFAULT FLASH0 FILES!!

1.Get into Recovery Mode (Hold Right Shoulder Button, and turn on unit).
2.Select "Advanced" from the Main Menu.
    3.Toggle the USB Flash0.
4.From there select the pertaining folder as listed below.
5.Rename the custom file that you have selected the exact same as the pertaining file below. (ex. If a Gameboot was named "ps2gameboot.pmf", rename it just as the default file is named "gameboot.pmf").
6.Drag and Drop the renamed file into the pertaining folder and select "yes" when asked if you wish to replace the file.
7.Done!! Enjoy your newly aquired customizing skill!

    Background/Wallpaper(Bitmap Image) - flash0/vsh/resource/01-12

    XMB Fonts – flash0/font/lnt0.pgf

    XMB Iconz - flash0/vsh/resource/topmenu_plugin.rco

    XMB Waves – flash0/vsh/resource/system_plugin_bg.rco

    Gameboot – flash0/vsh/resource/gameboot.pmf

    Coldboot – flash0/vsh/resource/opening_plugin.rco

    Volume Bar – flash0/vsh/resource/impose_plugin.rco

Battery and Loading Icon – flash0/vsh/resource/system_plugin_fg.rco

I know there are tuts on how too. I just recapped how to manual install for convienience. I primarily wanted to show a collaborated list for those who do not know where to put what and what file type the different components are.
I hope this is helpful to someone. If I missed something please let me know, this is all I can think of for the moment. This certainly would have helped me out a great deal when I was learning the basics.

That's a really sweet tut! Awesome work! Just two things... The Wallpaper is called 01-12.bmp, not 0-12... And the font file is ltn0.pgf, with an "L", not an "I", and ending in .PGF, not .PFG...

I know they're only petit little things, but these guides are what n00bz turn to for advice, and those are the sort of things that will cause a brick!
