This is for custom firmware users only any other firmware that is not custom it will not work if you brick while doing this you can always recover it with pandoras battery.

This is a simple way to clear up that unnecessary space on your flash so you can flash gameboots, xmb icons, xmb waves and much more without worrying about flash space.

Step1:Go into recovery menu by holding R while turning your psp on.

Step2:Once you are there you will see a few options press x where it says "advanced" then press x where you see toggle usb flash0 (note you must have usb cord connected to psp/pc) once you do that you will see all your files on your pc screen.

Step3:Before we continue with anything be sure you back up your flash0 on your computer for any future problems.

Last step: Deleting files for space
(note only remove stuff that is useless to you)

    To remove web browser/flash player:
Delete the following files vsh/nodule/htmlviewer_plugin.prx also htmlviewer_ui.prx and htmlviewer_utility.prx now go to:

    vsh/resource/htmlviewer.fbm htmlviewer.gim htmlviewer.msg htmlviewer.res htmlviewer.snd and htmlviewer_plugin.rco delete these.

To remove the mp3 player go to:
vsh/nodule/music_main_plugin.prx, music_common.prx, music_plugin.prx delete these now go to:
vsh/resource/music_main_plugin.rco delete this file as well.

To remove pic viewing go to:
vsh/nodule/photo_plugin.prx delete this file now go to:
    vsh/resource/ photo_plugin.rco delete this file.

To remove video playback go to:
vsh/nodule/video_plugin.prx, video_main_plugin.prx, msvideo_plugin.prx, msvideo_main_plugin.prx delete these files now go to:
    vsh/resource/video_plugin_videotoolbar.rco, video_main_plugin.rco, msvideo_main_plugin.rco delete those.

To remove RSS features go to:
vsh/nodule/rss_subscriber.prx delete that file now go to: vsh/resource/rss_subscriber.rco delete this file.

To delete the horrible NETWORK UPDATE go to:
vsh/nodule/update_plugin.prx delete this file now go to: vsh/resource/update_plugin.rco delete as well.

To delete the psp camera feature go to:
    vsh/nodule/camera_plugin.rco then go to:
    vsh/resource/camera_plugin.prx delete that to:
then go to kn/usbcam.prx delete this file to.

To delete the psp gps feature go to:
    kn/usbgps.prx delete this file.

Now once you are done now go back in your psp then exit recovery then now you can flash those gameboots and xmb icons etc safely without worrying.

Why are you writing this so big?
anyway you should add this, its from justinisloco's thread.

*Install a Gameboot, Font, Coldboot, And more (more is soon to come)

    Step 1
    Turn off the PSP

    Step 2
Holding down "R", turn your psp on..

    Step 3
you should be in recovery mode... with a like teal screen... If you are, good job. Plug in your USB cable.

    Step 4
Go to the FOURTH option (Advanced)

    Step 5
Go to "Toggle USB flash 0"

    Step 6
You should be able to access Flash0 through your computer as it were the memory card... you'll notice if you look at how large the drive is, its only 23.9 MB, and 23.8 is taken up!! holy shit !

    Disabling Network Update

    Step 7
    Go to...
vsh>Noudle (make sure its the "N" not "moudle")
    Look for "Update_Plugin.prx"

    Step 7.1 (OPTIONAL)
If you dont care for RSS, or the camera plug in, you can save a little extra space by deleting "RSS_suscriber.prx" or "Camera_Plugin.prx"... these are optional though!

    Step 8
    Now go back to
    vsh

    Step 9
    Go to Rescource

You delete The same files, but these have a ".rco" extension... for example... if you deleted RSS_suscriber.prx..... Delete RSS_suscriber.rco... Update_plugin.rco, etc.

    Replacing Japanese Fonts

Step 10 (THIS Deleted Japanese font, frees about 2 MB, BUT cuts off half of the file text on web... so anything you see when you press triangle will be split in half horizontally.... not that bad... text on a page isnt actually ruined)
Now go back to the root of the memory stick..

    Step 11
    go to "font"

    Step 12
Go down to ltn9.pgf... Drag the file to the desktop or an empty folder... it will be needed twice...

    Step 13
Rename ltn9.pgf to jpn0.pgf... let it overwrite the original

    Step 14
Now Copy the ltn9.pgf file AGAIN to the desktop or folder...

    Step 15
Rename it to gb3s1518.bwfon ... let it overwrite the original

Congrats... you should have about 2.5 MB free on your flash!

Yup you run it, it restarts, or you hold the L trigger and run it and it turns off, or hold the R trigger and it restarts into recovery mode.

Lol honestly I don't know what is in it.. But I've had it deleted ever since I started using themes.. My backups don't even have it in it.

All I know is that when you delete dic, and dummy the two fonts it gives you like 6mb free...

my theme is 2.50mb and in my flash0 I have 5.03 mb free LOL
