No, go ahead and use a different one. I figure I've been on these forums long enough and I still don't have a sig. Thanks again

Actually photoshop is much better but it really boils down to the individual. Anyway, what is the name of the font you use? I'm looking to either buy it or download it.

Here are some of mine:-

More coming, I'm still digging my old box of sig lol

1.) GIMP is really designed for making sigs. Photoshop is better for making/manipulating pictures. (Getting rid of red eye, smudges, and so-on). 2.) That font is called "Birth of a Hero" it's free, and can be found here: Birth of a Hero - Search - dafont.com

EDIT: Nice sigs.

woah there pretty nice. but i agree with chaos in a few ways but they both were made for image manipulation.

Yeah I would agree. Well Gimp is not made for making sigs. Think of it this way, Gimp is a free, toned down version of photoshop. Photoshop is the Gargantuan of graphic manipulation and creation. So I'd still stick to photoshop, never let me down once I got the hang of it =P

EDIT: Thanks for the compliment. Some idiots over at another PSP website started by Danny accused me of stealing them. So here I am, proudly showing off what I've done. Have you seen any rippers showing off their sigs like that?

When I asked for evidence, he said those links were where I stole from lmao.

EDIT again: Awww, I thought those smudges were done by you. I was looking for a "clean" font of that one. Sad haha

Photoshop is a must-have. Easy to use and all the best designers will have or still do use it in their career

Yep, it's an essential for design firms and creative studios alike.

My studio owns 4 iMacs and 7 copies of Adobe Photoshop CS3 licenses haha

Been a licensed user since 3.5 on floppies (I still have the floppies) all the way up to CS2. I never used photoshop in this way (sigs). I mainly used it for photo editing, manipulation, desktop publishing and art (scanned and retouched). I'm findinding new way of doing things with it everyday. It's amazing I've had it this long and still have only played at the tip of the iceberg. I guess between the SOTW (which I enjoy so much (win or lose) and seeing some of the amazing art you guys do AND the fact that I am in my second week or graphics design classes, I still have a lot to learn, experiment and play with...

I've tried everything from Macromedia's Paint, to Dabbler, Paint Shop Pro, Gimp, tons of Kai Power tools, eye candy and Deep Paint. I always return to photoshop. The others just never had any additional value for me. *shrug*

The way I see it, they are just tools in a toolbox if I need them for a specific task, photoshop is like an amazing Swiss Army Knife of graphic capabilities that keeps growing each time I use it. But that's just me. And I have nothing at all against any other aps, to each their own. I mean, with GIMP, first off it's free legally, and secondly, there is a plethora of tutorials and guides out there.

Take a look at this article - It describes freeware utilities yo can use to replicate some of the key features of Adobe CS3 (not just photoshop but the entire suite of applications).

Roll your own Adobe CS3 for free | Software news, tips, and opinions from Download.com editors - Download.com

...I hope this is still on topic, It's to help you (you being anyone reading this) create better and more eye popping sigs.
