Q's for sig makers

i just wanna know where you get your backgrounds from? i see a lot of nice stuff in your guys's sigs and i cant seem to find some nice backgrounds on google.

also

do you know of any sites that can help me get more familiar with photoshop and/or gimp? Maybe offer some tutorials or something to teach me some techniques on how to make my art better.

gimp tutorials are found on gimptalk, they have ALOT of tuts

as for the BGs, i use some brushes or i just take a render, paste it all over canvas, random pick, duplicate layer, motion blur, add some C4d's and walla

is it possible to add more brushes to the program and stuff?

@proto i just got the background off google, i am not too expierenced with the brushes, and it makes it harder when you use a trackpad and not a mouse (i am to lazy to just keep the laptop in my room haha)

The texture is actualy a brush layer with a Blending setting (Diffrent ones for diffrtent colors and Stuff)

I actualy dont know the name of the set, is something like brushes_11.abr as the File though, I Almost cried when I acidenly dealeted it, But I was able to grab a copy off my school computer
