I have some questions about Gameboot.

    - I heard of something that there are specific Gameboot for each CFW, and if you install Gameboot that aren't for your firmware you will brick your PSP. Is it true? And how do I check it compatible with mine?

    - I have here a downloaded Gameboot, which is longer than 6 seconds. It also comes with a some kind of Opening Plugin. What do I must do to put it on a Fat 4.01M33-2 PSP?

    - Gameboot.pmf's aren't firmware specific

-It is 6 seconds, the opening_plugin.rco is probably edited to last 6 seconds, make sure you know what firmware the opening plugin is.

    Because they ARE firmware specific.

So, the Gameboot aren't FW specific, but the opening plugin is? And how to I check that it is compatible with my FW/turn it compatible?

And on the Forum I got the Gameboot & Opening, a guy said his intro was changed, does it have anything to do with the Opening Plugin?

Actually Bewood if it's just the opening_plugin.rco your replacing(Not the opening_plugin.PRX) it will work on other firmwares..now the PRX will cause instant semi-brick.

Yes the Coldboot is what whoever you got the RCO from was talking about.

    Oh that is cool.

Remember it's only been 1-2weeks of me mildly messing with the flash0 files, editing and such, figuring out names.

Plus now I'm starting hardware, so yeah.

So, I have the Opening_Plugin.rco and the Gameboot.pmf here, I can flash them to Fat 4.01M33-2 with no afraids?

And other thing. Supposing I have a Coldboot here I want to put, what do I must do to make it work with the Gameboot?

Correct..but it's always good(even though if you do if right you'll have no problems) to make a Flash 0 backup.

Well... I went to a topic on a PSP Forum that has a Gameboot compatible for 4.01 and 5.00. I downloaded and there are 2 folders, 4.01 and 5.00. The size of the .rco are even different. You sure .rco doesn't have firmware compatibilities?

And if has, is there any way to make it compatible?

Well actually I though I mentioned it but guess not...you can't use an opening_plugin.rco from a lower firmware on 5.00 but you can use(lets say a 3.90 opening_plugin.rco) on 4.01.Using one on 5.00 will semi-brick(just tested it again to make sure)

Sorry if I mislead you in any way.

Allright, I'll try it then. If it gets semi-bricked I reflash the original Gameboot & Opening anyway.

Yeah just keep your backup in a safe place and replace original if it semi-bricks.

I'm about to do it, but one more question. If it semi-bricks, just replacing the custom Gameboot.pmf and Opening_plugin.rco with the original ones will get my PSP unbricked? I have Hellcat's Recovery Flasher, but I know that reflashing the FW may leave the PSP really bricked...

Replacing the original is all you have to do for a semi-brick.

Worked great. Hell thanks. The only real problem is that "Welcome to Organ" introscreen XD.

I was trying to create a coldboot, but I don't know if it is possible to make it work with the Gameboot (if it must have a somekind of size or time or something). If anyone knows the answer...
