I just wanted to let anyone who was considering buying an XCM faceplate to not. I just got mine and its terrible quality. I'm not even going to install it. I should have known since its so cheap. Can anyone tell me how the quality of the Asterix faceplates are? Is it similar to the faceplate the psp came with? Thanks.

the asterix faceplates are awesome, but they get yah cuz you gotta buy the buttons too...
the stock PSP buttons dont fit properly in the asterix faceplate... so you;re looking at a total of around $50us for the faceplate+buttons... good quality tho i got the blue faceplate with clear buttons and my fiance has the flat white faceplate with blue buttons... i'll take pics tomorrow and post them so you can see better first hand how they look... i say buy it just be careful once you open your PSP it's delicate =]

my digicam is kinda old so the pix are of mediocre quality, but they get the job done.... i hope these pix help in your decision =]

My PSP: (blue faceplate with clear/blue buttons)

Fiance's PSP: (white faceplate with blue/clear buttons)

BTW, make sure to use a #000 screwdriver... #00 is NOT THE SAME DO NOT USE, it will strip your screwheads and then you can never take the faceplate off... if you do not have a #000 scredriver, Home Depot sells a cool looking pen-like #000 screwdriver for like $3

Sorry but i threw it in the trash right away, i didn't even consider installing it. First of all, the color is nothing like the pic suggests, and second of all, the quality is crappy to say the least. I'm really excited about getting an Asterix faceplate, especially with the new colors and the buttons. Go to www.e-linksoft.com there are some nice colors their. They are the manufacturors and decalgirl.com is a reseller, so e-linksoft.com will have more colors. I was considering getting the agent orange with the orange buttons but i'm gonna wait till mid-april when they come out with the sunny yellow.
