[Tutorial] Make a Little Big Planet Sig -lots of screenshots [Gimp]

First off i didnt make this tutorial, all i did was convert the photoshop tutorial to GIMP.

Finished Product


Okay..

Make a new image, with the stuff as below. (You dont have to do the same but make sure its transparent background)


Click on the FONT text (Should be a letter A). Make your Foreground Colour this, 23bdf9. Then type whatever you want.




Now go on google and type in, 'Paper texture' save it, then open it up in gimp and resize it to this.
Once Resized, rotate it 90 degrees(use the rotate tool)


Okay. This is where it starts to get a bit hard...

On the image with your TEXT on it make a new layer. Copy the Paper Texture and paste it on the image with your TEXT on it. Then right click it and press ANCHOR.

Now re-arrange your layers like so.

Hard bit!
On your text layer, right click it and click Alpha to Selection. You should have lines going around your text. It will look like this...


Now on the actual image. Press SELECT>GROW> 10 Pixels.


Click on your paper texture layer and copy it (ctrl + c)


Then paste it down (Ctrl + v). It will look something like this. Click NEW LAYER.

Once you have done that... delete your paper texture layer.


Then re-arrange your layers like this...


Now click on your text layer. Where it says MODE set it to MULTIPLY


You could leave it at there...


But i like to add a few subtle touches...
Click on the text layer and set the Opacity to 45.0 ... then duplicate it by right clicking the text layer and click DUPLICATE! It will look like this.


Nearly there.. Click on the paper texture layer. Now on the image.. click... Filters>Light and shadow>Drop shadow...


Copy this..


If you did this right the layers will look like this...


All you have to do now is SAVE IT as a blahblah.PNG .. Export...OKAY

I have the photoshop version of this one but not sure about the reflection one... i am a hardcore gimper haha

Edit: Found it but err how am i suppose to post it in there.. its like so small..

Ummm could we like add a whole new sectoin where all the tutorials can go?
