Attention Graphic Designers!

At Ease:

As you may know we are going to be having a sister/clone site, if you have been keeping up with times then you might have seen a thread posted by admin a few times asking about some ideas and a few requests for things.

I have some ideas, and I have read others on here..

So, I decided to form a team. A team of Artists. Members with skills that can aid in the advancement of our future site. I'm not recruiting smartass's, know-it-all's, and closed minded people.

I need 3 members on my team.

1) Icons - Canada2113
2) Layout
3) Colors
4) Header

This isn't your typical tour of duty, This is Graphic Design... Time to man/women up and get down to business.. meaning we have deadlines people! By joining this tight group, you have become part of something bigger than just a forum. We are a team. I will be the first one to pick up the paint brush, and the last to put it down.

Some of you might not make the cut, do not get discouraged. Keep at it! Do more, don't stop designing/drawing... your finger hurts or you get a cramp and can't click any more....use your other finger Pvt.... You got more than one on a hand!

Post your best work, maybe I'll pick ya...

I'd like to take a shot at the Icon position if you'd like. I'll dig up some of my work and post it later. I am generally better at program icons than anything else, but those skill can be transferred easily to GUI elements and whatnot.

May i ask what kind of icons you are looking for? I could throw something together real quick so you can have a better idea of my style and skill.

I'd love to help Major in anyway possible. As I know thats what you went to school for, and I am about to finish up myself next semester. Not quite sure which part to try for, but I am also working on a website and made a pretty sleek header (I believe). I could probably work on colors too, I havn't worked on a web layout yet. Except on my portfolio site that I made before my webdesign class. JrbDesign
Im not too sure, you know what you want man, just look at stuff and decide what would be best that I could do.

Heres another round, just for kicks. Something a bit simpler, but still easy enough to distinguish. Idk why, but i cant seem to come up with anything other than a rectangle that looks good. If you want me for the icon position we can talk specifics later.

These are all in the dimensions of the original icon you posted, Major, but they are all vector so i can take them to whatever size you need.

me likes these, it definitely has the class i kinda nagged about before, it could maybe use some other element to further differentiate them, but idk im no artist lol

I tried some glyphs over them but it just made too much visual noise and i didnt like it.

I kinda threw them together pretty quickly. Once Major gets the team all settled in and we all have a goal in mind it will be much easier to find something that looks perfect.
