Yeh I'm thinking about changing my buttons, or perhaps the whole faceplate. I just want to know, will the Asterix buttons work in my stock psp case? And will my original buttons work in a XCM case? If they both do, how don't the Astrerix buttons work in the XCM case? Would it be easy to moddify them to work in that case?

ummm, or not. Psp buttons look sweet, the ps2 ones look dumb. I would never do that!

    yay, 300 posts..

Other question, is it possible to get off that back silver ring on the UMD drive around the PSP logo? Can that "pop" off some how? Has anyone here done it? How hard is it to do??

to paint it. Im thinking about going all pink, dont ask me why I really dont know why either. Im thinking about getting the Astrex faceplate with pink buttons and then painting the back ring thing.
But the Astrex faceplates are too much, way too much. Its like $59 to get it to my house, I think way too much. I've been looking for other faceplates that are pink and not that translucent crap. I want it too have all the writting that a normal faceplate has. Any body have some links?

Asterix button sets only fit in Asterix faceplates... they will not fit in the stock faceplate or any XCM brand faceplate... so pretty much if you get the asterix faceplate, your stuck with buying a button set, or shaving some of the notches on the stock buttons... or vice versa... you should totally revamp the PSP anyways... i got the clear faceplate+buttonset combo from asterix... got a link to it here, but it's a big pic:

BIG PICTURE OF A COOL PSP =P~

sorry about the messy desk, i always have a messy desk... hehe

    "don't fucking ask me. i don't know..."

Why paint buttons when u can just buy em. While ur playin with the psp ur not worried bout buttons. Ur just beatin on the buttons once ur playin.

most of the time, the paint or coloring is on the inside. youll still have to deal with the buttons when your not playing it
