SNES9X and OUSNES9X gives me shitty fps...They seem to run fine when changing the cpu speed to 333, but my question is; is that recommended or will it brick my psp over time? OH and whats the diffrence between those two emus or is there a better one?

Yes change the CPU speed to 333.. That will make it faster. And no dont worry it wont hurt your PSP since your not overclooking the CPU... Overclooking if you go OVER 333.. but since the threshold is 333 you will be good to go.

And SnesX9 is the best emulator for a Super Nintendo but yes its slow and lags as well with sound. that makes me mad... And I fixed it a little doing the 333 but its still lagging that would get my attention.

Some people do the "skip frame" they change it to 1 or 2..But dont do this skpping frames just makes your game too fast and like a fast recording.. In my opinion this option is useless and kinda 'stupid'

Maybe the games your playing do not require a lot of CPU. Hence, making them run smoothly. If you play another gamet that has many calculations and things running around at the same time. Your game will probably run slow. If you not experiencing these things even with games that are that much of a hassle .. your a lucky man.

Just out of curiosity, how much to the ps1 emulators lag? Because I saw that you can play FF7, which had me sold.

Not a whole lot, if at all really. The PSX emulator built into 3.03OE-B was made by Sony so it runs just about as good as an emulator can possibly run.

Thanks mime. and no the popstation games that you play on the custom firmware dont lag but a lot of games are glitchy...like ff7 before the battles, theres like a one second freeze before the battle.

I too have been getting alot of lag from my GBA and SNES emulator. However NesterJ (a nes emu), Dgen (a genesis emu), and FF7 run flawlessly.

That's a little weird... my GBA emu is the best one I have. Runs so beautifully I think it beats the original system. It could be the bios you have. Try getting a new one... I can't remember the exact size that the bios is supposed to be but you can find that info in read me's, etc for diff emulators. Make sure you have the newest version of "gpSP" as well. 6B4 FTW!
