Default HELP? Big problem when running psx

I've recently updated to 3.10oe-a from a 1.50.

I'm desperate to play Castlevania : Symphony of the Night PSX on my PSP. I've tried everything under the sun, i've put the files in GAME150, GAME, AND GAME310. I've tried switching the kernal from 1.50 to 3.10 in recovery, i've tried renaming folders, the list goes on. I keep getting the same message 'the data is corrupted' every time i try and run the game. The file is compressed and NTSC, would that make a difference? Will i get this with every PSX game i try to run under this firmware?

Would you suggest i downgrade to 3.03oe-a?

HELP PLEASE. I NEED CASTLEVANIA ON PSP.

Still nothing. I changed the kernal to 3.10, made a new file called Castlevania in the GAME folder and copied the eboot and keys file sover, but still corrupt.

OHH I think I know why... is the folder name more then 16 characters? I think 16 is the max it's been a while but try renaming the folder "castlevania whatever" to just "Castlevania" or wait did you mean you already made a "folder" called "Castlevania" what are you talking about file?... Also try using Dark_Alex popstation plugin for 3.10. http://dark-alex.org/index1.php

Yeah i named the folder 'Castlevania' and still nothing. GRRR.

This plugin, i assume it's the one called 'Plugin to load ANY POPS on 3.10 and next oe's'. If so, where do i put it once i've downloaded it? How do i apply it?

Noob questions, i know.

You put it into the SE plugins folder. It's all written in the readme. You need to extract the psar files from the Sony FW updates and decrypt them and drag and drop the 3 or so specific files, rename them and put them into the folder for pops. Thats the gist of it.
