Default PSX Compression Question

Hello all, first off I only have a 512 card so empty it holds ~467mb. I want to put FF9 on my psp. Compressed at level 9 it is 485mb, slightly too big. Now I was wondering if I could create and Iso of that compressed eboot and then convert that into a CSO hopefully reducing the size by like 20mb so I can finally play FF9. Thanks for the help.

Edit: I did it but from ISO to CSO the compression only shaved off 1MB so... not worth it clearly. I hope this helps anyone else who was thinking of this.

Default PSX Compression Question

You could very well be right. I didn't try playing it (still wouldn't fit on my card) but I thought it would be worth a shot.

Default PSX Compression Question

Yeah Begginer, I have already converted to EBOOT I was just wondering if I could take the compression a step further and the answer was no. Not practically anyways. Thanks for the reposts though.
