Default Strip Music from PSX

I know there is a way to create dummy files for PSP games and the likes. And I know there is a way to do this with PSX. I know this because I have seen a Castlevania Symphony of the Night without soundtrack (best part of game) that was only ~30MB. Now I really wanna play some FFVIII and FFIX. (FFVII too) I just need to know how to strip a few songs from the game so that I can fit them on my tiny 512 card. Please and thank you. I know there is a way.
