FF7 with a v1.52 PSP
Now I have firmware 3.03 OE-c installed...
EDIT: Ok so I ran this popstation GUI thing, and it gave me a folder called blabla, that I converted to ff7 inside the folder were two files eboot.pbp and keys.bin those files together make up 622mb and 4kb, I uploaded the folder called ff7 to memstick/psp/games/ and then when I started the psp I seen something called psone I clicked on it, but the game didn't load it said error 8000004 or something like that... Any clues I'm not running what I mentioned 3.03 OE-C
Thanks again for your help,
Adam
EDIT AGAIN: alright so I tried redoing it a second time, this time I put in the custom icons, and volia the custom icons work, but for some reason now when I try to boot the game, it goes to a black screen... any ideas? |

why are you still with 1.52? why not downgrade to 1.5 and then upgrade to a custom fw?
anyway, just use alcohol 120 or whatever program you want to to rip the game to your computer, then get popstation and just make an eboot. place in games and viola, ff7 on your psp.

FF7 with a v1.52 PSP
I have a mac, I don't think I can get 'alcohol 120' but I will look for it.
Julie I have a minpin at first I thought you had a picture of mine! hehe they're so bad...
Any suggestions for a Mac user?
Also, texas713 ur suggesting that I don't need to install that 3.03OE-c stuff?
My psp is actually 1.5 my girlfriends is 1.52, its the same thing as far as I can tell, ours both work well.
I don't care about anything really, as long as our PSPs play backup iso's which they do, and now I want to play FF7. Homebrew is no need, we both play snes, nintendo, now all I want is ff7
So if I popstation ff7 it should work without having to do anything like boot into 3.03 OE
Adam
P.S. Thanks I will look up popstation
Does it matter if one of my psps are 1.52 can I still update to 3.03 OE
EDIT: both updated to 3.03 OE
Ok, I updated to 3.03 OE C
Now, I can't play my snex emulator, but I do have bomberman working without devhook now!
How do I get SNES games working again?
Also, I'm still having problems because I have a mac, so I can't do anything with my FF7??
Sorry guys but anything helps,
Adam |

Mines a good fellow, he's just his own dog.
Nothing like a minpin agreed.
He listens really well, but hes just BAD, he takes the oppertunity to spite me whenever he can!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Back on topic,
I put the snes emulator into games150 and it worked!
My buttons are still japanese version, did someone say I could change that option? (my x button is my o button)
Anyway, about ff7 I guess I will just have to install virtual PC and get it to run, so really all I have to do is follow the popstation instructions and the ff7 I just download into a bin file?
Compression wise, can I do like 8x compression without problems?
Adam
EDIT: OHHH You know how before you'd get snexemulator then you'd get a file called currupt file and if you did something like snex 1' it would not display the currupt file icon, well now its displaying it, any fix for that?
EDIT: Ok so I ran this popstation GUI thing, and it gave me a folder called blabla, that I converted to ff7 inside the folder were two files eboot.pbp and keys.bin those files together make up 622mb and 4kb, I uploaded the folder called ff7 to memstick/psp/games/ and then when I started the psp I seen something called psone I clicked on it, but the game didn't load it said error 8000004 or something like that... Nobody has ideas on why my FF7 isn't working?
More details: Ok so what it does is lets me see the background on my psp, then it also lets me see my custome icon, I click on my custom icon and it loads this black screen with white writing, some legal mumbojumbo I guess.
Then it just goes to a black screen. If I hit some buttons I can get into this menue that asks me how I would like my controller setup, the video settings, and stuff like that. But the game just won't load, it stays as a black screen.
Anyone have ideas? |
