PS 1 games on Regular firmware 3.30??

ok so im new here and i dont really know much about psp's other than the norm. I want to get into EVERYTHING tho i just dont know how... N e ways i know that i have firmware 3.30.. i dunno if thats good or bad but what do i need to do to. emulate ps one games? and all the other stuff?

right now you cant do shit except what sony wants you to do. A downgrader will come out sooner or later but it will most likely be a long time.

You have 3.30? Man that blows... dude, take that PSP back and get a refund if possible... try to find one with 2.80 or lower. Anything above 2.80 is hard to downgrade because you need the special version of GTA LCS, and anything above 3.03 is currently not downgradeable and probably won't be for a VERY long time.

i dunno i upgraded to 3.03 before i realized what i had done...and a few months later there was the downgrader. so it doesn't always take a really really long time, but yeah Darked is right, it's just easier to take it back and get a new one that isn't upgraded yet.

I don't know for sure, but i guess sony is trying to make it harder for there current firmware to be downgraded..

Obviously they dont want us to be running Iso, Psx, Emulators, homebrew etc..

Because most of that stuff is pirated.

Thats the reason they made UMDs because I doubt anyone has a UMD read-writer on there pc.

So anyway, there trying to make there cookies tougher to crack

you can play psx on a 3.30 PSP if you have a ps3 to purchase the game off their online market, and then transfer it to your PSP with your PS3. One of like 2 useful functions you can get out of that $600 footstool.

I had the same bitch ass conversations with friends when the PS1 and PS2 first came out. The PS1 sucked, and it was like 500bucks CAD, and the PS2 was like the same bloody price and it also sucked, it took both systems around a year to get good. Look at ff11 vs shadow hearts (or shadow hearts vs the newer shadow hearts) what a jump in graphics, and its the same system.

Give the PS3 some time, keep in mind the xbox360 has a year on the ps3, and xbox is still not that fantastic... PS3 will rock in another year, plus the price drop on the system will be a nice treat. Think what the system CAN do, not what it is doing... Look at the techspecs PS3 will burn 360....

Untill then do what I did, get yourself a Wii

it is also come for Xbox 360 you know just incase you have one. i never get a new system until they have been aorund a while/
