Default SNES won't play w/o Currupted File?

Yep, so I got my DGEN and SNES9X TYL to work only.. the SNES made a currupted file too that if I delete(either threw the comp or psp) the emulator worn't work.

*blink blink*

What gives?

Default SNES won't play w/o Currupted File?

I think it's a backup file or something along those lines. To help it function properly. I just started modding and had the same issue but just assumed that's what is was for. Personally, I'd just ignore it and leave it alone but meh I'm still a noob when it comes to modding : /

i dont find that to be anygood and i think he is on 1.50 and if that is the case look for a program called seipsp tool and it will put the emullator or whatever on your psp and hide the currupted icon

recovery mode doesnt apply to you unless you have a custom firmware installed. if you do, turn off the psp and reboot it while holding R. a screen will appear with the option to hide the icons

but why do u get corrupted icons in the first place? well, its simple. most homebrew uses 2 folders, ill use snes9x TYL as an example. now.. the first folder is called "snes 9xtyl" and it contains all the homebrew files such as menus and icons in addition to sound effects and other data. the 2nd folder is called "snes9x TYL%" and this folder only contains the eboot required for the psp to see the program and launch it. you delete the corrupted icon and it removes this folder, then the homebrew wont launch.

its annoying, but you almost cant live without them. using methods to hide them or atleast move the corrupted ones down to the bottom of the list helps, but theres no way to truly remove them
