working mame or neogeo emus?

i have problems getting mame or neogeo emus to work
the mame emu(s) i tried only work with the game 1941, and the neogeo emu i tried only works with samurai shodown (i tried samurai shodown 2, king of fighters 98)

all other games i tried get error messages while opening the roms

for samurai shodown 2 on neogeo for example:
ERROR: could not allocate REGION_GFX3 memory.
Try to use sprite cache...
ERROR: File not found."spr_usage (GFX3 usage)"

the rom is complete, and the neogeo bios is also there, so i dont know whats wrong

for the mame emu, i tried king of fighters 94, end the error message is:
unable to allocate RAM
Error reading ROMS
Unable to initialize machine emulation
Retrying without filecache ...
(and at the bottom of the screen, the same error message again, without the last line)

i dont know whats wrong here, do i have to convert the roms or something? (and yes, i used for the mame emu a rom that was specified as an mame rom, not neogeo, i also included the neogeo bios)

the neogeo cd emu i installed works fine, and i think neogeo or mame are not that much harder to get working, so whats my fault here?

the emus i used are mame4allv002, and ngepsp 0.4.2 if i recall correctly

so any tips for me what i did wrong, or are there just no emus at the moment that work correctly?

it would be very nice if you could help me somehow to get mame and neogeo working

Well, try getting to rom somewhere else. Or try to get a different emualator.....

First of all man MAME Emulator for the Psp sucks X_X Right now so Dont mess with it right now? Just Wait Patiently for a Good MAME Emulator to come out
and I think you Might Have the Wrong Bios
or Bad Roms

i am using ngzpsp (i think thats the name)
it works perfectly, the only problem is that there seems to be a very small slowdown that i didnt notice by playing, but by watching long intro sequences, where the sound is played a little bit faster than the videos

i sovled the neogeo emulator problem, the problem was, that there has to be a separate file cache for each game, another problem with the neogeo emulator is, it uses the mame version for some roms and not the "regular" neogeo version, king of fighters 98 for example needs then 80 mb for the rom, and 80 mb cache, the normal neogeo rom is only 40 mb ...

i try that cache stuff today with some mame emu, maybe thats the same problem there ^^

just google MAME4ALL emulator for psp and you should get it or try QJ.NET - QuickJump Home - PlayStation Portable News - PSP Updates they have them all there.

Lots of my favorite MAME games are available on CPS1/CPS2/MVS~ And yes, your right, quite a number of other mame games are not playable on the emulators I mentioned.

Try out Begginer's link he posted, I think that will help.
