I've tried the Rewind/Mirror version and v1.20b with Ad-Hoc to no avail. Both freeze shortly after loading a rom.

Default NesterJ freezing on slim with 3.71 M33-4
The slim cant use that version because it doesnt have 1.50 kernel. Just use this version of nesterj [NOT A RELEASE!!] NesterJ 1.11 with retromercial icon - MaxConsole Forums

i wonder if NesterJ is ever going to get an update for slims 3.80m33+ i've been using e[mulator] in the mean time which works pretty good. The version i'm using on my slim 3.80m33-4 is e[mulator] 0.82f

... by the way the only reason I had OFW for so long was because I was waiting for my Pandora to arrive.
