Default Gundam Battle Assault 1 and 2... Problems encountered.

Well, just 2 really. 1 Works just fine however 2 seems to freeze after you select a mobile suit to play as. has anyone encountered this and found a fix or workaround for it?

both work fine for me... Just try them under different Popsloaders, try 3.71 or 3.40. Now riddle me this.

erhm they're my brothers games... i just ripped them for my collection, that's it i swear... how do i know that they work then... um, um, well i had to play them to test them, YEAH! I test all my products... shut up, so I'm a nerd.

I've been reading up on it and I don't really understand the concept of popsloader. it's my understanding that it's built in to 3.90 m33-3 (which is what I use) do i have to downgrade to use popsloader 3.71? because i really would rather not downgrade.

popsloader isnt built in for 3.90m33-3 in fact 3.90 m33-3 doesnt have it. however 3.80m33-5 and below has it. battle assault 2 works on 3.52 and 3.40. you can use DAX's time machine to install 3.40oea and run battle assault from there.

after 3 months ive finally got to post again...

Default Gundam Battle Assault 1 and 2... Problems encountered.

3.90 M33 doesn't NEED its own Popsloader because 3.90 is virtually identical to 3.80. 3.80 M33 Popsloader works perfectly fine, and I know this as a fact because I use it every day.

The concept of Popsloader is that Sony's built in emulator does not aim to be hardware-accurate, but instead aims to run their own PS1 rereleases as best it can. This means that support for any other game is going to be hit or miss depending on the firmware version you have. To counteract this, Popsloader does exactly what its name implies by loading different emulator modules, dumped from their respective firmware versions, as specified by the user.

Popsloader is not built into any custom firmware release, it is and will always be an optional firmware plugin. What IS built into the firmware is the emulator itself, known as Pops.

Sadly, I've been having the same exact problem. Could you go more in depth into what you did to get it to work please?

I have this problem.

The Game will work, but then it won't.

I converted it myself and blah. in the folder for the game I only have the EBOOT.

But the game just doesn't work. I can only seem to fight one match out of the 20 attempts I try to get this game to work. I can get to all screens, character select, options, story mode etc. FMV sequence loads. The "Attract Mode" Freezes, and also It freezes if I try to play on the GUNDAM Fight stage.

This is most confusing, I would love for some feedback. Please do not be a jerk, I really don't like to put up with a snot attitude, I only want an honest answer to how to fix this, right down to buisness nothing else!
