Okay, everyone whines enough about how slow all their SNES games run, and how it's worthless and blah blah blah...
So here it is. This is how to Pimp your snes emulator. (mind you some games, such as Starfox, MarioKart, etc. may never be up to speed, but just take 800mg of S.I.U, and you'll be fine.
First off, grab the Snes9xTYL 0.4.2, the 3.xx compatible version that you can find in the slim bundle package here -
http://www.pspmod.com/forums/emulati...ator-pack.html (Slim Compatible 3.xx emulator pack)
Start it up, load desired game...
-Hit the L&R buttons simultaneously to bring up the menu
-Move over to the "MISC" window
-Make sure PSP Clockspeed is set to 333Mhz
-Open up "Hack/debug menu"
-turn on these options:
Ignore Fixed Colour Ignore Windows clipping Ignore Add/Sub modes Ignore Palette writes Fix HiRes hidden details
*NOTE: yes these options might %#$& with the appearance of some games, such as
Ignore Palette writes, and
Fix HiRes hidden details causing Secret of Mana's menus to flicker and change color... it's called tweaking for a reason, find what works for each game.*
-Leave the "MISC" window and go over to the "SOUND" window
-Set Output frequency to 22050Hz (if you can really tell the difference in sound quality and it makes you cry on the inside, then see the bottom for an alternate method.
So there you have it, an SNES emulator that hopefully runs well enough to dry your tears. If not, then there is one last thing to do... Detailed instructions here -
