memory card saves

Ok, so now that I know I can psx games on my psp and I've played a lil of my ff7 backup, I'm trying to figure out where on the psp it stores the memory card saves. I need to figure out how I can store them externally for later so that I can go in between long games on a weekly basis just for variety. Any ideas guys and gals?

If I'm not mistaken, it save them in the SAVEDATA folder under PSP. To my knowledge the only things that don't save them there are non-PlayStation emulators
