It's required for a lot of homebrew apps and most emulators. Here's how to install it.

1) Put 150.pbp in the root of your memory card.

2) Put this UPDATE folder inside /PSP/GAME/

3) Make sure your kernel mode is set to 3.90 in the recovery menu, then run the updater from the game menu. If you didn't fiddle with the recovery menu, chances are you're already set, so just run the "updater".

4) When the updater finishes, let it reboot by itself, don't do it yourself.

5) Your emulators, ie Daedelus should now work.

^cool thanks.

And so this allows me to sort of run both kernals? the new 3.90 and the 1.50 when needed automatically? or is it like a dual boot sort of thing? if so how do i switch back and forth?

oooo i ran it and it said its only for the standard PSP. so i guess this only works on fats? mine is slim.

I'm glad the program warned me instead of going ahead and screwing something up.

Is there anyway i can make this work w/ my PSP?

Oh, sorry I didn't realize that. It wouldn't have screwed anything up because all it does is replace the Location-Free Player and Korean fonts with the 1.50 files. Umm, there is a relatively new way to do it with something called Time Machine, but I'm not sure how. For now, you can run eLoader, which has the same effect as having the 1.5 kernel installed, except that it's a homebrew app, and it doesn't install anything.
