Default final fantasy vii cutscene load problem

I have the European version of final fantasy vii, and disc2 fails to load the cut scene after u give the ancient key to the wise old man and the waterfall starts. The screen turns black upon entering the waterfall then u briefly see the fountain, wise old man says a few things and screen goes black again. A few seconds later u hear an error sound that will repeat occasionally. I have custom firmware 3.90 m33-3. I have tried converting this with both pops converter and icedtea with no luck, so I think it may be a problem with the disc, but thing is most version the U.S. version I haven't found another European one yet. So if this isn't salvageable is there a way to transfer saved data from the European version to the U.S. version? I have the pops that does that for you but when I transfered it directly over it wouldn't recognize it.
Thanks,
Faytesp

Default final fantasy vii cutscene load problem

Do you have the multi firmware Popsloaders? If so, when you start the game and it asks which firmware to use click 3.71. If you dont do a search for it. I have 3.90 m33-3 and always use 3.71 for playing my psx games and havent run into problems but i am also using the ntsc version of ff7 also so Im not sure if that has anything to do with it also.

Hope that helps.

Firmware Installed: What is firmware??

Default final fantasy vii cutscene load problem

If 3.71 pops dont work, then run the popsloader for a different firmware like 3.52 or 3.10 or maybe 3.00. Give it a try, cause I know for sure one of them will hit the spot for you.

no luck with the different pops version idea, the other versions appeared slower and 3.00 even had the screen slightly down, but all had the same error noise when u enter the waterfall. So one more question is it possible to transfer data from the european version to the u.s. version?

Ok since it seems this is an actual disc problem, I wanna request if u guys know any sites that have game save data for cd2 of final fantasy vii. I'm not asking for a pirated game just a game save, or if its possible a program that can convert game saves from the european version to the u.s. version
