Default Metal Gear Solid Problem/Question

I got Metal Gear Solid disc 1 and made it into an Eboot. Then I deleted the ISO(I didn't realize you can't save at the end of the disc). I played pretty far into disc 1 and I really don't want to make 1 big Eboot with both discs and start over. Are there any options to be able to play through the whole game(disc 1 and 2) without starting disc 1 over?

Who said you have to start over? Just use the same game ID and the save data will still be accessible.

so all I have to do is make an Eboot of disc 1 and 2 combined and then replace the first one? I won't have to start over?
