Default Help Playing PS1 Games

Ok, I gave my PSP slim to my friend to put CFW on there. I think he put the latest version, 4.01 on there if I am correct. Anyway, i am talking to him, and he tells me that he is having a problem putting ps1 games on there. he is using the PSP1Alpha emu, and when he uses it, this is what comes up.

"PSP Slim running 4.01 M33-2 w/ 1.5 kernal. It all installed correctly but when I go to run the program it begins to boot, shuts down, and gives me error code: "game could not be started 80020148"
Recovery Config set to run w/o UMD kernal set to 1.5"

So what happens now? Is there any other way to get the PS1 games on my PSP?

dude, you dont need an emulator to play psx games on your psp, just make sure that its in .eboot format.

also downloading popsloader helps alot.

that guide for popsloader is pretty good but it may not help u to play psx games if you know nothing about converting iso to eboot and where to place it...

you do not simply place ur created eboot in the game folder. it needs its own folder in the game folder..

if you follow this guide
PSP Hacking Guide - Part 7: PSX (PSOne) Games - “PopStation” | Blast Processing

it will explain how to put psx games onto ur PSP...

and then if you would like popsloader use the guide on this site as it is simple to follow
