Default Golden Sun Problems

Heres whats going on:

The last time I played this game was four years ago on an actual GBA and like 3 months ago I found out there was a sequel and i was like oh shit I gotta play that. But I wanted to go back and play Golden Sun again. So i acquired the game and am playing it on gPSP.

The problem is I'm in Mercury Lighthouse and I'm trying to get this Djinn before I go fight a boss. I'm at the djinn but every time I beat it and go through the animation the game freezes.

Here's where all my fellow brothers on PSPmod come in. If you have gPSP and Golden Sun can you run my save file, try to get past the animation of beating it and send it to me. My email is iedwardsiii@gmail.com.

Just drop both the svs and sav file in the SAVE folder under GBA. If anybody does this I'll be greatly appreciative cause I'm about to destroy my PSP and it just came back to life rofl.

Default Golden Sun Problems

I've been doing this for hella long and have had many problems. Each of which has usually been fixed. I think I would know to go throught the gPSP configs, I did like 100 times and by 100 I mean 16. Still no luck, can someone help me out????

Default Golden Sun Problems

The same thing happens to me in exactly the same part of the game. There currently is no way to avoid it aside from just ignoring that djinn. You can move on with the game from there, but it's likely that every other mercury djinn has that problem with the animation. Golden Sun is a great game, but it was extremely badly programmed and a lot of emulators have trouble with it.

Alternatively, you can transfer the save data to your PC and use VBA or some other emulator to get past any game-breaking glitches. It's hardly a convenient solution, but you can do it quickly because the game allows you to save anywhere.

I didn't want to deal with any of that, so I'm playing the cartridge on my DS now.

Damn too bad. Alright thanks Tets. When I saw you were the last person to respond I was like oh shit yes! Somethings about to happen! rofl. I guess I'll just transfer. Cool, thanks again.

So, basically I just have to accept the fact that I have to go thru the entire game with only one Mercury Djinni? That's really lame.
