I have a PSP 3000 with 5.03 ChickHEN R2/GEN-A (FULL), and I want to play some of my PlayStation games on it. Is there any easy-to-use tutorials on how to get PSX games on my PSP with this kind of CFW? All I see are tutorials that are meant for other CFW's and older PSP models, and I'm a bit skeptical about using them. I don't want to brick my PSP. Is it even possible to play PSX on a PSP 3000?

The conversion process is the same for all Firmware..no worry about bricking...now compatibility may be an issues without POPSLoader as I have no idea if it works with 5.03 GEN-A for HEN or not.

I came across two things:

1) After converting my .ECM to .BIN and then to EBOOT.PBP , I tried to play it on my PSP without any popsloader. It showed a white screen that said "P.O.P.S." and a little bit of text underneath. I got the impression that GEN-A had a built in Popsloader, but to my dismay, the game wouldn't start. My screen turned black, and the PSP crashed. I tried many times with two different games, and got the same result. Does this mean it's not an actual Popsloader?

2) I began looking through Google for answers, and I came across something that I want you guys to see. It explains how to get Popsloader on 5.03 Gen and CFWe. Thing is, it doesn't say if it's for PSP 3000 or not. Here, take a look: Dark-AleX.org - Ver Tema - Popsloader Installation Guide for 5.03 Gen-A and CFWE x.xx

I get the impression that it -is- for 3000, but I could be wrong. Regardless, I began following the instructions and I downloaded Popsloader for 5.00 M33-2 as recommended. I copied all the files to SEPLUGINS, and now I'm at the part where I'm supposed to "dump" files from the OFW to copy them into the popsloader folder. I'm trying to dump 4.01 OFW, but I keep getting this message: "PSAR too big. Recompile with bigger buffer". What's that mean?

P.S.,

I now have Popsloader 5.00 M33-2 on PSP 3000 with 5.03 GEN-A (FULL), AND IT WORKS!!! I'm playing my game right now!

yes there is a popsloader 4 psp 3000..
same as 5.00m33-6 pops..
but u have to edit your popsloader 1st..

dude i found and followed the guide, but now im stuck at that part!! im getting the "psar is too big" message -.- how'd you get past it??

p.s. miggy, i dont understand your vid. doesnt really seem to explain much and i dont speak malay or wtvr that is :/ tagalog maybe? idk -_-
