Default eboots show as corrupted

I used a tutorial found on this forum to create an eboot from my Final Fantasy 9 discs, this worked and I moved everything onto my PSP

E:\PSP\GAME\FFIX\FFIXD1 (this is the folder for disc 1)

I have the KEYS.BIN file in the same folder as the PBP, but when I try to load disc 1 the file shows as corrupted.

I only installed custom firmware onto my PSP a few hours ago, I'm running on 4.01 m33 but I'm really not sure what much of this all means.

Thanks in advance and I apologise if this is in the wrong section.

EDIT: I can take a photo to proove I'm not a pirate if you want, I've noticed that you guys have a strong policy against them.

It's not E:\PSP\GAME\FFIX\FFIXD1

It should be:

E:\PSP\GAME\FFIXD1\EBOOT.PBP and KEYS.BIN

Oh my, that was a somewhat silly mistake to make

Thank you very much for your help but now I have another problem which I might as well address here.

The PS1 logo appears but as soon as that happens I get a black screen. I have tried resetting the game a few times to no avail.

Thank you for any additional advice you can offer.

No, I tried following the guide made by cheema201 but I'm very new to the custom firmware scene, so it all seems a little bit confusing.

I'll try going over the guide again, hopefully then it'll work.

I apologise for the double post, but I have installed popsloader and tried loading disc one with 3.40, 3.71, 3.72 and 4.01, all do not work and just leave me with a black screen after the PS logo.

I should probably create a new thread for this, but I don't want to spam =/

I was not using that pack, but now that I have replaced the seplugins folder with the one from that pack, I am unable to select which version to run the game on (usually by holding R when booting the game).

EDIT: It says in the readme of that pack that it will only work if I'm using 5.00 M33-2.... but I'm using 4.01 m33

Never mind, turns out my disc must have been too scratced to create a good ISO
