Unhappy Golden Sun Crash on gpsp

There is a problem floating around the internets that i have come across for my second time and that is Golden Sun crashing when you defeat the Mercury Djinni in the Mercury Lighthouse.

Im using gpsp mod and and sick and tired of the game not working. I just want to play GOLDEN SUN!!!!!

Fix my problem and Ill give you all the cookies you could ever want.

Default Golden Sun Crash on gpsp

I'm frustrated by the fact I'm having the same problem. I get a blue screen of death on my psp when I capture it.

I guess its possible to just not capture the djinji and progress through the game. But i feel thats no solution at all (I want to collect them all)

Try different versions of gpsp. Or try a American Rom or Europe Rom. Or if can you read a different language then go for it.

yeah i know what you mean i had planned on beating this game and continuing onto the second one with all the djinni. It just makes the second game soo much better with all the djinni from the first game. Hopefully someone will find out a solution.

Default Golden Sun Crash on gpsp

I ended up just transferring my game save (Golden Sun.sav)to my computer and loading it to VisualBoyAdvance to capture it. I saved the battery file, put it back, and the journey continues on my psp.

You save the game through the game not the emulator (save state at slot 0 may or may not matter). Soft reset or exit gpsp so that it actually saves to the Golden Sun.sav file on the psp (hard reset doesnt work for me). Open Visualboy, load the rom, then import "battery file"( from file menu), which should be your .sav file from from your psp. Play the game, capture the djinni (sic), save in to the game. Then export "battery file" as a Golden Sun.sav from Visual boy to your memory card. Tinker around with it but it should work.
