k so ive read other ff7 problem threads and it led me to installing popsloader and do all that plugin crap. well i got it on there right and have installed several plugins but even after that and starting ff7 up with the 3.71 plugin selected it just goes to a black screen and freezes. ive also tried 3.40 which also just goes to a black screen and freezes. all the others i have tried just freeze as soon as i click on them. i have a psp 1k with cfw m33-6 on it. thanks for the help in advance

make sure you converted the game correcly

i followed the pops installer guide on this site actually and did everything it said, and put all the prx files into the seplugins folder but still nothing.

Just made my 3 disc separate eboots for this game into one large multidisc eboot and its running on 3.71 pops on a fat w 4.01m33-2. Have you tried holding R while loading PSX game and selecting original from flash in pops menu which just means that it will just load the current firmware and not 3.40, 3.52, 3.71, 4.01. I just tryed that on another fat psp that I have access to running 5.00m33-6 using the stick that I run on my fat with 4.01m33-2 and though I wasn't able to bring up pops menu (different version popsloader cause different firmware) it must have loaded on that firmware from flash without popsloader. If it doesn't work after that then the 3 eboots or one large one you constucted aren't made right.
