That's basically Carmageddon, although I'm pretty sure that was only on N64

Since the PSP has better CPU speed and same graphics, why can't there be a PS2 emulator.
Anyway, games, its hard to decide, how about......:dramatic pause: all of them.

Anyway, games, its hard to decide, how about......:dramatic pause: all of them. | PS2 runs at something like 266Mhz, PSP can run at 333Mhz.
Emulating the PS2 and keeping the PSPs OS running.. Wouldn't work. |

Anyway, games, its hard to decide, how about......:dramatic pause: all of them. | It doesn't have the same graphics. They're not far off, but they're not PS2 quality. Also generally speaking, an emulating machine needs to be four times as powerful as the machine it's trying to emulate.

The processor types are different. Quite obviously, the PS2 has the more powerful processor, clock speed aside. It has the same amount of RAM as a PSP 1000, 32MB. 266MHz (PS2) vs 266MHz/333MHz (PSP) is not a fair comparison; it's like comparing a Core 2 Duo to a Celeron on the same clock speeds.

Exactly. The EE is very different to the PSP processor: Emotion Engine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Just a dreaming thread post a game or even a small list of the ones you'd love (who knows maybe the next sony handheld will have some backwards compatibility).
Anyway, the one that I would want....Final Fantasy X | I'd want San Andreas. But think of all the PS2 Ports there already are, it's not like your favorite PS2 game may not eventually be released to PSP.

42 - If you could have one ps2 game on your psp
Wow, this thread has gotten a lot bigger than I imagined it would lol.
You guys say the PSP OS, is there any possible way we could treat the psp like a computer and just scrap the old OS? Make a PS2P OS lol use some basic pieces like controls and start-up and whatever else you'd need from the original psp OS, then take the parts in the PS2 OS that are required to play games....speaking of this, could we put any other kind of OS on the psp? Windows, Linux, whatever is to your liking?
P.S. I noticed that a lot of the games people want brought to the psp are relatively the same, could we like petition to sony a small list of games we'd love to see remade? We have enough members on the site that I think it might be possible. Even get other sites involved into one grand petition lol.

@teh OS idea, wouldn't work because of the way the PSP is made, the architecture, CPU, GPU etc etc.
Only has 64MB RAM at most (slim PSP).
Sony don't give a shit what we want... |
